Closer to Earth.

Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of northwest North Carolina, we take a laid back approach to life and farm work. We breed alpacas with some of the best genetics in the world. We grow 10 different varieties of lavender. We keep bees. We do lots of things that help us and everyone around us to relax and enjoy life.

Come on up - the mountains are calling!

ALPACAS

We may be a small farm, but we take our alpacas seriously!

We have genetics from some of the finest herdsires in the world. Studs like Aristide, Loro Piana, and Lover’s Spartan. And a breeding program that you will most likely never see anywhere else on a farm as small as ours.

We take great care with our breeding decisions. Every animal we care for has at least one blue ribbon, and many multiples, at show. We are a trusted resource for many breeders around the country and world.

Please let us show you what our dedication produces!

LAVENDER

We love lavender!

We grow 10 different varieties of lavender for lots of different uses. Culinary buds, fresh floral, dried, crafts, oils - you name it, we grow something for just about any use. We grow 5 Angustifolias (English) and 5 intermedias (lavandins).

Our bloom times for Angustifolias is early June to mid-July, and for intermedias is early to late July. We usually have dried buds available from Independence Day forward, until we run out. We keep dried bundles available for floral use, and will be starting a U-pick in 2024.

Those interested in growing some for yourself will find we also have lots of starter plants available as well. If interested in growing your own, and for wholesale purchase, we take orders in the fall for spring plants. Just let us know what you’re interested in, and we’ll get it out to you.
